At Vacation Bible Camp children will learn that The Tree of Life: God's Promise of Salvation is His promise to us. The Tree of Life examines God’s plan of salvation as it unfolds through the Old Testament and is fulfilled in the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The last lesson will focus on God's promise of Jesus' coming as our Savior. Your children won't want to miss this experience as we learn all this outside in God's creation. Special activities will include science experiments and fishing off the dock at Gunn Park. Please join us for a fun picnic after our closing at 4:00.
Vacation Bible Camp is FREE and for anyone ages 3-11 in our community.
lesson 2- we see how God chose an aged couple, Abraham and Sarah, and promised them a child from which He would raise up a new nation that would bring the world our Savior. We will also see God call on Abraham to offer his beloved son as a burnt offering, through which God will teach us many important things about the great substitutionary sacrifice of His own beloved Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross.
lesson 4- we look at the familiar story of the shepherd boy David fighting against the Philistine giant, Goliath. David’s seemingly impossible victory shines a new light on Good Friday and the seeming impossibility of Jesus defeating our greatest enemies, armed with nothing but a cross made of wood.
lesson 5- we see Daniel, a powerful and noble Jew, falsely accused, sentenced to death, and sealed in a tomb with a large stone. We will examine how closely Daniel’s trials and judgment and “death and resurrection” matched those of Jesus Christ.
lesson 9- After His death on the cross, Jesus was sealed in a tomb with a large stone. But He didn’t stay dead. In lesson nine, we talk about His empty tomb and what His resurrection means for our lives today and in the future. In Jesus’ death, death itself, which has stalked God’s creation since Adam and Eve’s fall, has been forever defanged.
The children will perform their song that they learned throughout the day. RSVP button will be up soon
